YOUR HOME ON CAPE COD! Cape Cod is one of the most beautiful locations the United States has to offer. Miles of sandy beaches; quaint villages; exquisite landscapes; ponds, cranberry bogs and marsh vistas; quiet wooded trails; and brilliant sunsets over Cape Cod Bay are only a few of the reasons people come from all over the world to call Cape Cod their home. People also come because they are attracted by mild winters, peace and quiet, slower pace, clean air, low taxes, proximity to Boston and a close community spirit. Cape Cod is made up of 15 towns with land area of 399 square miles and a population of approximately 210,000 and is known as Barnstable County. Each town maintains its own school system, and they are rated “A” by the Massachusetts Department of Education. Outdoor sports are a main attraction, and the Cape offers many! Our retirement community enjoys luscious golf courses, tennis clubs and many other hobbies and activities to suit the active mature adult. Golf is a year round sport on the Cape. There are many Golf courses to enjoy, from par three's to Championship courses. There are also numerous tennis clubs, racquetball courts, and health clubs available. And of course swimming is very popular along with water skiing, surfing, sail boarding, and boating. Fishing abounds on Cape Cod with numerous launching ramps for fresh and salt waters, boat rentals, and shore fishing on the beautiful beaches and estuaries. Winter sports include ice skating, hockey, ice fishing, ice boating, and cross country skiing. Cape Cod is a wonderful “island” away from the bustle and the pressures of the mainland and is also blessed with an abundance of Top-Notch retail stores, professional service orientated businesses, and dining establishments, each striving for excellence in this competitive market place. During the year there are concerts, plays, flea markets, church fairs, theatres, the Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra, country fairs, art shows, parades, and literally hundreds of clubs to join if you enjoy gardening, bridge, community theatre, literature, nature walks, and so on. 21 Reasons to Own a Home on Cape Cod
