Falmouth is a large town geographically, and is located 72 miles southeast of Boston, 10 miles west of Mashpee and 20 miles west of Hyannis. It has one of the longest coastlines in the State, 68 miles. Consequently, the land holds high value, high demand and the choice of views that create real property wealth. People are able to invest in desirable waterfront or water view properties.

At the same time, Falmouth has a lot of agencies that are very attentive to the demands of the coastline environment. Large geographical tracts of land have been set aside for public conservation, not necessarily the exclusive waterfront, but some of the woodland and the natural habitats for wildlife.
